I'm all sneezy and allergic and Julia Child is dead, just days short of what would've been her 92nd birthday, but I'm hoping that's all the badness the traditionally unlucky day has in store, mmkay?
Man. Julia Child. I feel like I should be cooking something very rich and excessively French (preferably involving lots of butter and sweet vermouth) in her honor. Ideas, anyone?
On the off chance that any of you know, what (if any) over the counter allergy medications are good for rash-type reactions? I think I'm allergic to the laundry soap we were using up until a week or so ago (we've switched back to a kind that's never given me any problems, but it's going to be awhile before all the bad stuff is washed out, and grrrr stupid laundromat not fixing the extractor that takes extra soap residue out of clothes).
Also, do any of you know anything about why oatmeal baths are supposed to be good for itchy skin? I'm going to give them a try because itching drives me crazy, but if it works I'd sure like to know why.
