My hands hurt.

In particular, my fingertips and the skin under the edges of my fingernails (the quick?) They're kinda tender. I blame the oven cleaner --- which, as punkrockgrrl so aptly put it, is a damn harsh high. On the upside, our oven is amazingly clean, even if the drawer underneath it isn't (turns out that's where the overflow skudge from the oven ends up, and in particular stuff that gets dripped on the oven door... ick). The stove is also pretty freakin' clean, even if it turns out the burner pans are really and truly rusted and impossible to truly clean (big thanks are due to Peter for helping with those and the oven racks). Sigh. Still, all in all I count this weekend's cleaning adventures a big success, even if they taught me why those big scary rubber gloves are sold next to the cleaning supplies. Maybe next weekend I'll take on the kitchen floor. Maybe. If my hands are healed.

hehehe... you reminded me I've got lots of cleaning to do. blah! I'm not sure I've ever cleaned an oven.
